2020 Chengdu Marathon will kick off on November 29, 2020, with a total scale of 10,000 runners participated. The top three runners will be invited to take part in the opening ceremony of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games. Chengdu Marathon is an urban marathon in which the tracks are measured in international A-level. The runners' performance will be certified by Chinese Athletics Association, World Athletics, and Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). On the day of the competition, the contestants will start from the Jinsha Site Museum and pass through Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Qingyang Palace, Kuanzhai Alley, People's Park, Tianfu Square and other city landmarks. They will go from the splendid ancient civilization (Jinsha Site) to the surging new era (Tianfu New District), experiencing Chengdu's historical heritage and international style.
